I graduated from Northwestern Oklahoma State University with a bachelors’ degree in English education and a masters’ degree in school counseling. I taught high school and junior high English, speech, journalism, and humanities for 9 years before becoming a school counselor. I am working on my 21st year as a counselor, most of which were in high school. My husband, Kevin is a history professor at Wayland. We have two grown children who are both PHS graduates.

I am a firm believer that what has happened in the past does not define you or your future. Life is not about what happens to us, it is all about how we react to it. As for my mantre, I choose to be happy.
