• Protocol C:

This instrument is designed to look at Content Based Assessments and student performance.  While student performance is an important part of this process, this is great data for teachers in order for them to compare across the grade level or the district.  This is data that gives data gives us insight into our instructional practices.

Within this protocol it is important again to look at the subpopulation performance and compare.  There is also a place to have a discussion around what is best practices to meet the needs of our subpopulations.

The final part of this protocol is to determine what the data tells us about the next steps.  The next steps in this protocol needs to focus on the needs of students that have not been successful as well as the needs of the teachers as a team to continue to learn and grow.

Protocol C address the PLC question #2  and #3.

PLC Question #2:  How will we know when each student has acquired the essential knowledge and skills?

PLC Question #3:  How will we respond when some students do not learn?
