• Sharon Lambeth, Dyslexia Teacher
This is my twenty-first year of teaching. I started at Highland in 1991, and after 9 years of teaching 4th grade, I moved to Las Vegas, Nevada.  I then moved to Duncanville, Texas and taught 3rd and 4th grade there for 3 years before returning to the BEST SCHOOL IN TEXAS:  HIGHLAND! It is the best school to teach at because the children are wonderful, the parents are caring, and the staff is friendly and dedicated.

After teaching 7 years in 2nd grade, and moving upstairs to be the 3rd and 4th grade class-size reduction teacher for a year, I am now in my second year as the Dyslexia teacher for Highland. I won't have my own classroom, but I will have the privilege of working with many more AWESOME students.

In my spare time, I love playing with my adorable and unique dog, Harrison.  I also am an avid reader.  My favorite children's author is Chris Van Allsburg and my favorite adult author is Harold Cobin.  I love to read, eat out with friends, and come up with fun
ways for my students to learn.
