Hello. My name is Lori Franklin. This is my 8th year to teach at Plainview High School. I am the wife of Dr. Scott Franklin, Dean of the School of Math and Sciences at Wayland Baptist University. We have three children -- Emily, Timothy, and Zachary.

I first came to Plainview to attend Wayland Baptist University, where I received a bachelor's degree in mathematics. Upon graduation, I spent a year working at a bank and my first year teaching at Monterey High School in Lubbock. At the end of that year, our daughter was born. I was blessed to be able to stay home with our kids until our youngest was in Kindergarten. During those years that I stayed home, I returned to Wayland to earn a Master's of Education degree specializing in Instructional Technology. I also worked part time as a Mother's Day Out director, as a mathematics tutor, and as an instructor for the Community Classroom at Wayland Baptist University.

This year, I am teaching Algebra 2, PreAP Algebra 2, and AP Calculus. I am looking forward to a great year!
