Good morning everyone,
Plainview ISD will be cancelling school on Friday, February 8th due to the flu and stomach bug outbreak that we were experiencing. Student health and wellness are a priority to Plainview ISD and we want to ensure our students and staff remain healthy.
With classrooms cleared, our Maintenance and Custodial staff will be making a concerted effort to deep clean and disinfect our schools in order to provide a disinfected environment for our students.
We are very grateful to our Maintenance and Custodial staff for the extra effort they will be making this weekend on behalf of our students and staff. Please pass along thanks and encouragement to them as you have an opportunity.
All after school events except Athletic/UIL events will be cancelled and campuses/buildings will be cleared out by 4:30pm today.
EIC and ACT bootcamp will still be held at the Education Center today.

La salud y el bienestar de los estudiantes son una prioridad para Plainview ISD y queremos asegurarnos de que nuestros estudiantes y el personal se mantengan saludables.

STAAR / EOC (End Of Course) RESULTS - STAAR Report Cards, often referred to as confidential Student Reports (CSR), once released will be posted on the Student Portal for parents and students to review. Some access to the student portal is available at the Texas Assessment for Families homepage at https://www.TexasAssessment.com. If you need instructions for accessing student scores, but do not have the student's access code, the following steps will assist you:

As the 2017 -2018 school year comes to an end, Plainview ISD celebrates the careers of twenty long-term employees who elected to retire during or at the end of this school year.
Thunderbird Elementary will be under a new campus leadership team for the 2018-2019 school year following the recent appointment of Karla Dunn as campus principal and Katrina Garrett as assistant principal.
Fifty-four honor graduates of the Plainview High School Class of 2018 were celebrated on May 22 with an Honor Graduate Breakfast at the First United Methodist Church.
Twelve outstanding educators were recognized by the Plainview ISD Board of Trustees at their regular meeting on May 17. The honored educators are recipients of the 2017-2018 Educator of the Year awards for their respective campuses. The award is the highest award given to teachers by the district.
PHS senior Kristan Rincon was named 2018 class valedictorian and Lucy Hernandez was named class salutatorian at the 2018 Plainview High School Scholarship and Awards Assembly held on Monday evening. Who’s Who Awards, certificates of academic achievement, and scholarships recipients were also presented during the ceremony held in the PHS auditorium.
Plainview High School graduating senior Justin Josiah “JJ” Rodriguez, son of Ernest and Mariana Rodriguez, was recently awarded the Clay R. Warren Memorial Scholarship for 2018 by Mark and Freada Warren.
